WRAPAROUND CARE

Join us for a nutritious and fun start to the school day. Our breakfast club is open from 7.45am, providing children with a tasty breakfast - a variety of cereals, hot foods, toast with spreads, fruit and milk. Breakfast is served until 8.15am and after there is time to play with friends.

Each day we offer a wide range of indoor play activities, as well as team games - run by our enthusiastic and friendly club workers. At the end of the session children are dropped at their playground by 8.45am so they can join their peers or classroom so they can join soft start.

This club is open to all children in Year 1 - Year 6 and has availability every day. (From 8.15am the Year 1 children will be brought to Mini-Breakfast club). Regular and adhoc sessions can be booked through Parent Pay our online booking and payment system.

Mini-Breakfast Club (8.15am – 9.00am)

This club is open to all children in Nursery -Year 1 and has availability every day. Regular and adhoc sessions can be booked through Parent Pay our online booking and payment system.

Charges:

The cost is £2.00 per day (pre-booked) and £3.00 per day (adhoc). Concessions are made for parents who qualify for benefits; proof of benefits will need to be provided at the office.

Refreshments:

Children are offered a choice of cereal, fresh fruit, toast with spreads, in the winter warm porridge or other warm cereals. We will serve our breakfast with a drink of juice, water or milk.

After School Club is during term time only, from Monday to Friday between 3.30pm -6.00pm. St Elizabeth After School Club is situated in our Community House or KS1 hall.

St Elizabeth After School Club exists primarily for pupils of St Elizabeth School. Children from other schools may be accepted providing there are vacancies. St Elizabeth After School Club has a specific number of places available. We accept all applications but priority places will be given to:

  • – Looked after children and children with disabilities.
  • – Children who have previously used our after school club service.
  • – Children with Parents in full time employment.
  • – Priority will be given to siblings of existing Club members.

The number of children attending St Elizabeth After School Club and supervision levels at any session will be in accordance with Local Authority guidelines.

The varied programme includes arts, sports, recreational and educational activities.

St. Elizabeth After School Club staff will supervise children at all times during Club hours, until they are collected by their parent/carer (or named substitute). The parent/carer must give written permission if they wish a child to go home unaccompanied during the summer months.

Charges:

The cost of St. Elizabeth After School Club provision will be £8 per day (pre-booked) and £10 per day (adhoc), and will run every day during term time.

St Elizabeth After School Club must be self-financing. No financial support is received from the school. All running costs must be met from fee income.

Refreshments

Soft drinks and light refreshments will be provided at the St. Elizabeth After School Club session. St. Elizabeth After School Club is committed to providing healthy, filling snacks and have therefore decided to ensure our menu offers less bread focused snacks and increase the variety of food offered. Bread or cereals served will be wholegrain, designed to give our children energy for longer. Please talk to the children about this change in menu so they know what to expect. All our snacks are designed to be filling and healthy to provide your child with plenty of energy to play. We will serve our snacks with fresh or dried fruit or vegetable sticks and water/milk. We can provide alternatives dependant on children’s allergies and intolerances.

Disciplinary Matters

Any discipline matters will be brought to the parents’/carers’ attention by the Club leader. If the problem cannot be resolved, then the child may, at the discretion of the Head teacher be asked to leave St. Elizabeth After School Club. No refund will be made.

At St Elizabeth Primary School we offer a wide range of Extra-Curricular Clubs to children in Years Reception - Y6. We try and offer a variety of clubs to capture the interest of a wide range of children. Clubs run last year included; Archery, Football, Athletics, Multisport, Film Club, Debate Club, Dance, Arts & Crafts, Cello, Violin, Rap club, Cooking, steel pans, Science Club, Homework Club, African drumming, Choir, Street Dance, French Club, Spanish Club and Chess Club, to name a few! Each year we reflect on the successes and try and re-run popular clubs whilst introducing new clubs too.

Charges:

The cost of St. Elizabeth Extra-Curricular Club will be approx. £3 - £4 per session. Some specialist clubs may cost more. All ECC must be pre-booked and payments must be made in advance. All ECC will run on a weekly basis for an advertised number of weeks per half term. Most clubs will last for 1 hour.

St Elizabeth Extra-Curricular Club must be self-financing. No financial support is received from the school. All running costs must be met from fee income.

Applying for a club

Club places are limited and are on a strictly first come, first served basis. To avoid any disappointment please book your space as soon as possible. Be advised that certain clubs are dependent on reaching minimum numbers in order to run effectively.

Evaluations:

We are always keen to hear your feedback on our clubs offered and any suggestions you may have to help us improve what's on offer. At the end of each club cycle please take a moment to fill out our feedback form and leave it with the school office.

St Elizabeth offers a high quality, affordable holiday club for children in Reception to Year 6. The holiday clubs are staffed by St Elizabeth’s own fun and friendly club workers. We have a huge variety of games, crafts and play experiences on offer, allowing children to express themselves, build confidence and make friends. Every holiday we have carefully planned trips to places of interest that will excite and broaden children's experience of the wider community.

The holiday club has access to most areas in the school including the school gardens, Climbing frames, sports hall and KS2 football pitch giving children the opportunity to explore different play zones.

Please Note:

Trips and days out If you book a place for your child on a trip day, all children and staff will be taking part as it is not viable to split the group. Travel will always be by public transport or walking bus, children will need a packed lunch and clothes suitable for the activity and weather.

Charges:

The cost of St. Elizabeth Holiday Club provision will be £20 per day –basic day (pre-booked) and £25 per day (Basic adhoc), £25 per day –extended day (pre-booked) and £30 per day (Extended adhoc) and will run during the dates confirmed.

St Elizabeth Holiday Club must be self-financing. No financial support is received from the school. All running costs must be met from fee income.

Refreshments

Children are offered a healthy and varied snack every morning and afternoon, our snacks are wholemeal, fresh and filling so children have energy throughout the day. Children must also bring along their own nut-free packed lunch to eat together at lunch time.

Parents are required to book per month for our wraparound care provision. If bookings are not made in the first week of the month then you will be charged at the adhoc rates.

    • Penalty Charges

      There will be a penalty charge for late collection at the end of a Club session. Any collections after 6.00pm will result in a charge of £1 per minute for the first 15 minutes followed by the full cost of staff required to remain on site in order to maintain the safety of your child. Parents are asked to telephone the St Elizabeth After School Club if they are to be unavoidably late. However, if parents are late on a regular basis (more than twice) after 6pm, they will receive a warning letter firstly and then if this continues, their places at St. Elizabeth After School Club may be withdrawn.
