Performance Data and Inspections

2022 Inspection

Dear Parents/Carer’s,

Please find attached our Ofsted Report dated 1st and 2nd March 2022, which confirms we retain our ‘Good’ status. The Governors and I are very pleased with this outcome and we were touched by some of the observations made about our school;

‘Pupils really like coming to this school. They said it feels like a “second family” for them’.

‘All Teachers have high expectations of pupil’s behaviour’.

Pupils said that ‘this is a school where everyone respects one another’.

‘Pupils are kept safe in school’.

The report captures the positive views of parents/carers and we are proud that the majority of parents feel that we are doing a ‘fantastic job’ and we are constantly improving.

I am so pleased that the work we have carried out to improve the curriculum is evident and we continue to adapt to meet the needs of our community – making learning & teaching more meaningful.

I think for staff, during this (dare I say it… unprecedented time) the phrase that was said in the feedback to Governors, the Diocese and the Local Authority which means the most to us is ‘The school provided an arm around the pupils at a time when they were most in need’.

We hope you are also pleased with the report. We had already been working on improvements prior to the Ofsted visit and will continue to do so.

The staff and children are always remarkable and I am so very proud of them for their hard work and efforts which have resulted in making this such a great report. I know, that they will all continue to further strengthen the excellent work of our school going forward.

Yours sincerely,

Ms A John

Executive Headteacher

2017 Inspections

Our last OFSTED inspection in February 2017 graded us as having good overall effectiveness.

Following our last RE inspection in November 2019, we were graded as good classroom religious education and outstanding Catholic life of the school.

‘The content of classroom religious education fully meets the requirements of the Religious Education Curriculum Directory. Pupils have access to well-planned and well-resourced programmes of study which are delivered in a creative and engaging way to enhance their learning experiences. Pupils achieve well in religious education. Religious education is at the heart of this warm, welcoming school. The school values and mission statement are fully evident in the daily lives of all in the school community.’
